2008 Convention to Feature Celebration of RCI's 25th Anniversary 2008 will mark RCI's 25th year as a professional association. A milestone such as that can't be allowed to pass without significant revelry and celebration. Read below for a brief glimpse of some of the joyous events in store at the upcoming Convention in Phoenix. Silver Anniversary Celebration programs include: Silver Anniversary Report - The Awards Luncheon will feature a nostalgic look at 25 years of accomplishments by the association and its members. Educational Program: RCI: Roofing & Roof Consulting for 25 Years - Distinguished members Dick Canon and Dick Fricklas will reflect on the evolution of the roof consulting practice and RCI's influence on the industry. Annual Banquet - Reminisce with fellow members over a sumptuous meal and entertainment. The comedy troupe Laughing Stock will provide some humorous insights regarding the consulting profession and RCI's quarter-century of evolution. Keynote Speaker and renowned political analyst Charlie Cook will discuss the upcoming presidential election and the politics that could influence future generations of RCI members. That's not all. Be sure to expect numerous other surprises and spontaneous merrymaking at RCI's Silver Anniversary Celebration. President-Elect's Golf Tournament The annual President-Elect’s Golf Tournament will be held Friday, February 29, 7:30 AM at the Raven Golf Club at South Mountain. All convention attendees are invited to play. The course layout features rolling fairways framed with mature pine trees, rugged desert mountains and the Phoenix skyline. The tournament will be organized as a shotgun, four-person scramble. Spouses are encouraged to participate — there will be pairings for couples at the tournament. Prizes will be given for 1st and 2nd place and contests will include longest drive and closest to the pin. Be sure to stick around for many other contest and raffle prizes immediately following the tournament. A continental breakfast, barbecue and beverages will be provided. Region IV - 8th Annual Hawaii Winter Workshop RCI Region IV cordially invites you to join them in Honolulu, Hawaii, January 21-22, 2008 for the 8th Annual Hawaii Winter Workshop. The event will be held at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort in Honolulu, Hawaii. The primary focus of the program will be above and below grade waterproofing. It will feature several roofing and building envelope technical sessions. Make your room reservation by December 28 to receive discounted attendee rates. Outstanding RCI Affiliated Chapter Awards Entries are being sought for the Outstanding RCI Affiliated Chapter Awards. The purpose of the program is to recognize the contributions of affiliated chapters to the health and vitality of RCI and the construction community. Nominations are due by Dec. 31.
