Exterior Walls Technology & Science
Educational Program Unveiled

Exterior Walls Technology & Science, a new educational program from RCI, is the first in a series that will focus on technical issues of the building envelope's exterior wall components.

The two-day course provides an in-depth learning experience regarding the technologies of buildings' exterior walls. The program is intended for building envelope professionals and roofing professionals who wish to expand their understanding of wall systems. 

Topics to be covered include:

  • Wall-related terminology
  • Functions of walls and performance issues
  • Moisture movement in walls
  • Management of moisture
  • Applicable standards for walls
  • Sealants
  • Fenestration detailing and design

Exterior Walls Technology & Science is an essential program for those who want to grow professionally in their understanding of wall systems and their relation to the building envelope. The course provides a solid base for further advanced coursework on exterior walls. Attendees earn 16 CEH credits from RCI.
