Green Roofing for Design Professionals The inaugural offering of RCI's new Green Roofing educational program has been announced. The program will be held July 16 in Cary, North Carolina. The course plows new ground in this growing field as it focuses on technical issues important to the green roof designer. In addition to definitions and system element information, the course covers design criteria, including: roof loads, slope and drainage, fire and wind regulations, code requirements, and reference standards. Region III Enters Blogosphere Region III Director Thomas M. Gernetzke, RRC, RWC, RRP, has started a Web blog for discussing his Region's activities. The blog is located at http://rciregion3.wordpress.com. Once users register and log in, they can post comments on four different pages: technical, educational, Region III general, and welcome. Anyone can read posted comments.

2009 Convention Hotel Rates Hotel rates for the 24th International Convention and Trade Show have been posted on the RCI Web site. The event will be held March 12-17, 2009 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. Visit: www.rci-online.org/international-convention-hotel.html for details.

RCI to Exhibit at Construct 2008 Trade Show The RCI exhibit will be on display at Construct 2008 (formerly the CSI Show) June 4-6, 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Volunteers are needed to help staff the exhibit in booth 1429.
