RJH & Associates, Inc. is seeking Engineers/Consultants for Pensacola and Destin, FL offices.
RJH is seeking full time building envelope consultants and/or Engineers to join its team.  Candidates should possess 3 - 5 years technical experience in the building envelope industry to include roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall consulting.  Experience should include building envelope investigations and forensics, design and specifications preparation, project management and construction administration.  Responsibilities to include directing and performing forensic engineering/consulting services and failure investigations for building envelope issues, as well as design and oversee document development of restoration projects relating to roofing, waterproofing, exterior wall and structural restorations.

  • Building Envelope Consultant (Palo Alto) - conduct field investigations and condition assessments and develop construction documents, details and specifications. RRC, RWC or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Roofing/Waterproofing Monitors (San Francisco Bay Area) - observe, document, and report whether or not the measurable attributes of construction conform to the construction drawings, project specifications, and manufacturers’ installation guidelines. RRO certification is preferred.

General Responsibilities:
As a Roofing Professional with Terracon you will be responsible for conducting roof condition assessments/inspections using visual observations and non-destructive and destructive testing methods, including but not limited to infrared moisture survey, roof coring, and diagnostic leak testing. Capable of developing new and remedial roof repair and replacement design documents.  You will be responsible for all project deliverables including proposals, reports, and invoicing.

Requirements and Duties:
Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) or Registered Roof Observer (RRO) preferred.  Knowledge of all types of commercial roof systems is required.  Will be responsible for overall financial success of projects.  Overnight travel will be required at times in conducting assessments at job sites or in support of projects across the company.

Essential Skills/Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Ability to prepare reports using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.  Ability to prepare drawings and details using drafting software.

Construction Moisture Consulting, Inc. (CMC), a Tampa based architectural/construction consulting firm established in 1992, is actively seeking a qualified candidate for the following position:

Professional Building Envelope Consultant

Qualifications include:

  • Technical background in waterproofing, air barriers, curtain walls, window systems, elastomeric sealants, coatings, below grade waterproofing and roofing.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Florida Professional A/E Registration a plus), Structural/Civil Engineering or Building/Construction Science.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including word processing, email, electronic file management, etc.  CAD experience a plus.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, reliable and self-directed.

Basic duties will include window, building envelope, roofing and waterproofing field evaluation/testing, moisture surveys, design/specification development, design peer reviews, forensic investigation, ASTM and AAMA testing, project management, and quality assurance inspections and quality control.  Must be willing to travel.

Full-time salary including reimbursable travel expenses with typical benefits including company subsidized (80%) health insurance for employee and IRA retirement plan.  Pay rate commensurate with experience.
