Building Envelope/Roof Consultant - PSI, a national roof/building envelope and engineering consulting firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant with excellent communication skills. Consultants are needed in Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Fairfax (DC), Houston, New Orleans, Orlando, Tampa, and San Antonio.

  • Individual must have experience in client management, marketing presentations, site investigations and on-site project management/quality control of commercial roofing/building envelope and waterproofing projects.
  • Having an RRO/RRC/RWC is a plus but not necessary for the right person that has equivalent experience. Professional Engineers and Architects with this related experience is also a plus.

The following qualifications are very beneficial:

  • Knowledge of different type roofing and building envelopes systems
  • Ability to provide detailed site inspections and associated reports
  • Specification and design experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform roof/building envelope moisture surveys
  • Knowledge on the operation of infraRed scanner & wind up-lift equipment
  • Knowledge of ASTM & AAMA moisture intrusion testing procedures
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Professional certifications a plus (RRO/ RRC/RWC)
  • Professional PE or Architect with related experience a plus.

This position will provide technical expertise and support related to building codes and compliance to the KST Coatings Business Unit.  This requires an in-depth understanding of roofing system codes and the processes for obtaining new and maintaining existing code approvals. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains product and system specifications
  • Administrates and maintains product/system code approvals and compliance
  • Leads product/system testing and validation process
  • Leads product/system training for Customers, Sales, Customer Service, R&D
  • Leads complaint investigation and resolution
  • Provides technical support to field sales and customers
  • Oversees Warranty Programs
  • Oversees Approved Contractor Program
  • Supports department activities as assigned

Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years commercial roofing or related experience required.  Prior experience working with Factory Mutual, Underwriters Laboratories, and Miami-Dade and knowledge of roofing system components and testing required.  Demonstrated record of exceptional communication, project prioritization and management, and strong strategic and analytical skills required.  Experience with specification development and Construction Documents Technologist (COT) certification preferred.

Building Enclosure/Roof Consultant - Technical Assurance, a national building enclosure consulting company has an opening for a Consultant with proficiency in working with tablets and computers for the collection and management of field data.
Key Roles:

  • Building envelope (roof/walls) assessor
  • Quality control process oriented
  • Field data collector
  • Provide training to other techs on our tablet technology
  • Manage field data in our company SharePoint portal
  • Demonstrate expertise with a variety of commercial roof systems or at a minimum general construction experience.
