The person in this position will be expected to facilitate the sale of CCW air barrier products by providing project-specific support to customers. They will correspond with the sales force and customers to convey information for project support. The candidate will develop and support field quality assurance programs for CCW air barrier installation as well as provide field and web-based training, including continuing education programs. They will review project specifications, drawings and mock-up construction to assure appropriateness of product selection and use. They will assist installers and sales representatives in completing submittals, product substitution requests and support necessary support to win sales on specific projects. They will work with other CCM departments to coordinate project support required for the interface of CCW air barrier with other components, such as roofing, insulation and waterproofing.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5 years related experience. Professional accreditation from organizations such as CSI, AIA and RCI are preferred, as well as being a registered architect. Candidate must be personable and presentable with excellent communication skills. They must be comfortable in writing letters, speaking on the phone to customers and co-workers, participating in jobsite meetings and delivering training and presentations in informal and semi-formal settings. The candidate needs to know what to say, and what NOT to say in these settings. The content and delivery of the candidate's communication must convey competence.

The Senior Director of Technical Services will also serve as the Technical Editor of Interface, RCI's monthly technical journal. Duties will include working with the Executive Editor to develop monthly themes and to identify and contact subject matter experts to write articles and review them upon submission.
The successful candidate must be a licensed professional engineer or registered architect with three or more years' experience working with the building regulatory community or equivalent experience.
