RCI Professional and Quality Assurance members are invited to submit entries for the 2008 Document Competition. Winners will be presented awards at the 23rd RCI International Convention and Trade Show, February 28 - March 4, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix Hotel.
Projects submitted must have construction completed by October 31, 2007. Construction projects should include the Project Manual and Drawings. Projects may be for new construction or exterior building envelope renovation. Report entries can be any written document pertaining to roofing, waterproofing, or building envelope, such as survey, forensic or analysis.
A panel of RCI members will judge the entries for excellence in regard to such criteria as technical merit and organization, with extra points for complexity and application of innovative concepts.

All entries will be on display at the RCI convention. Attendance by competition finalists at the convention is encouraged, but not mandatory.
To enter this year’s Document Competition, complete the entry form and send it to RCI postmarked on or before November 30, 2007. Send separate forms for each entry.
Competition open to RCI Professional and Quality Assurance Observer members only, who acted as the project manager for the project entry.
A $50.00 fee is required for each individual entry. Make checks payable to RCI, Inc. and include payment with the entry form. Send payment and entry form to RCI at Suite 204, 1500 Sunday Drive, Raleigh, NC 27607. Entry forms may be faxed to RCI at 919-859-1328.
Entries become the property of RCI and portions may be published in the Interface Journal. Submitted materials will not be returned to the entrant.
Entries shall be a regular work product funded by fees paid by the client. The work product should include what other co-workers produced in addition to the project manager. Products developed as a marketing tool or as a demonstration are not permitted. Enhancement of the document beyond that done in the course of the job (e.g., colorization) is not permitted.
Entries shall meet the description of the category.
