Flex Elvaloy® based Fleece Back Membranes were the first thermoplastic single ply products to be installed in a multi-ply assembly using asphalt. Introduced in 1973, DuPont Elvaloy® KEE (ketone ethylene ester) provides state-of-the art performance for Flex's Thermoplastic Single Ply and Multi-Ply Roofing and Waterproofing Systems. Flex Elvaloy® based Membranes are chemically resistant to jet fuels, restaurant grease, industrial pollutants and air conditioning coolants. Flex "Cool" Roof Membranes are listed with the Energy Star Roof Products Program and the Cool Roof Rating Council. Flex White Membranes have an initial solar reflectance of 0.87 per ASTM E 903 and a thermal emmittance value of 0.919 per ASTM E 408. Flex White Elvaloy® Membranes meet or exceed the requirements to qualify for the LEED Rating System. Flex assures the Specifier, Building Owner and the Contractor that the highest quality roofing and waterproofing will be supplied, backed by pre-installation reviews, on-site inspections and subsequent guarantees.
